Barb was born and raised in Fargo ND, in a closeknit traditional church family, where she met and married her high school sweetheart Mike – married young! He joined the US Army, and they left town!
Several states and two sons later, Barb received Jesus as her Lord; and two years later Mike did also. The adventures then increased, as they met many parts of the body of Christ as their military moves continued. Such variety! Along the way, Barb also completed a master’s degree in theology. She has served in many roles on leader teams in churches and Christian ministries. She enjoys meeting with people one-on-one, often mentoring younger believers. Strengthening personal connections is her heart. She enjoys journaling her thoughts; several of those writings were published in her first book, “The Parable of the Fly: True Strength for Tough Times.”
Barb is “a Pastor with prophetic tendencies” – often perceiving truths in natural scenes, and conveying in words those prophetic pictures. She loves the teamwork of different giftings working in unity. A central role for Barb on the War Council is praying for smooth function and teamwork of all the strong giftings working together, honoring each part as vital – what a joy!
Barb loves time with Mike, her husband of nearly 58 years, and their two sons, an amazing daughter-in-law, and nine grandchildren, most living nearby, and thankful for time together. A favorite scene for Barb is a meetup time for coffee with a friend.
“Declare his glory among the nations, his marvelous deeds among all peoples.”
